In 2013, our association organised its largest gathering in Sète. Dick Newick, James & Hanneke Wharram and Marc van Peteghem were in attendance. We had the pleasure of sailing with Dick on his old boat, which he described as a ‘geriatric boat’ even though the trimaran could reach 20 knots... Over 30 historic multihulls were present in glorious weather! Dick Newick passed away a few months later. Just before he left, he told his wife how happy he was to have seen his boats again....
