Christian Campi has been a golden boy for a long time. He has enlivened our gatherings with his superb outrigger canoes. Deeply attached to the history and local characteristics of these boats, he has built many of them over the years. He brought one of them to our last gathering in Perros-Guirec. He recently built a Philippine bangka. Those of us who have been to the Philippines remember the ubiquity of these boats, their performance, and their importance in maritime life. Let's not forget that it all started there, that our racing multihulls are the descendants of these legendary boats.
