Tahiti Douche Lessive St Marc

This prao was designed by Daniel Charles at the request of Alain Gliksman. Originally rigged as a schooner, but fitted with masts that were too heavy, it was modified by Christian Augé, and later by Marc Lombard. This prao provided its crews with extraordinary thrills (but also some headaches). Among them were Halvard Mabire, Vincent Lévy, Christine Capdevielle and Denis Gliksman. Skipped by the Thellier brothers in the Québec-Saint-Malo race, Bruno Peyron aboard Jaz declared on arrival, whilst Tahiti Douche had lost its mast: “They overtook me as if I’d been stopped!” Following a refit carried out by Patrick Lusher, the boat, which belonged to Jean-Claude Van Rymenant, found another guardian: Zack Rogerson. Supported by his father Stuart Rogerson, former owner of the VSD trimaran, Zack is now the guardian angel of the last remaining large racing prao.
